We are looking for a skilled Apartment Maintenance Tech to join our team. Our techs complete unit make readies, complete work orders, and perform general cleaning and maintenance duties to maintain apartments inside and out.
This is a Monday through Friday position with an on-call rotating schedule. Some weekend and Holiday hours may be necessary.
General Duties Include But Are Not Limited To:
Performs work according to standard procedure and OSHA safety guidelines.
Makes carpentry, electrical, mechanical and plumbing repairs in common areas and inside apartments.
Performs touch up and finish painting.
Performs janitorial cleaning of common areas and leaves apartment homes clean after completing repairs.
Maintains swimming pool during summer if applicable.
Clears snow from entrances and walkways when applicable.
Keeps grounds clean of debris.
Follows all applicable safety rules and procedures according to EMG policy.
On-call hours required - some nights and weekends.
Reports work accomplished on written work order to Service Manager.
Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications Needed
Previous experience in building maintenance repair work or construction.
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved oral or written instructions.
Ability to relate to vendors, staff, and public in a courteous manner.
Ability to work occasionally in poor weather conditions, including heat, cold, rain, or snow.
HVAC and CPO License or Certificate preferred.
