Reports to: Facilities Manager

Travel Required: Yes, between facilities.

The Facilities Technician oversees and maintains the infrastructure and critical equipment of Verdes Cannabis to be in a good, safe, usable, and reliable condition. Most of the job duties will be located at the indoor grow facilities, with tertiary work at retail dispensaries, and manufacturing spaces. The preferred candidate for this role has demonstrated success and experience in commercial HVAC.

Responsibilities/Essential Functions:

- Responds to all MaintainX work orders as assigned, maintenance ticketing software.

- Maintains the facilities and equipment to meet function, efficiency, health, and safety standards.

- Performs routine preventative maintenance services, and repairs on critical equipment such as HVAC units, swamp

coolers, commercial air handlers, water systems, gas heaters, and dehumidification systems as well as performing new installations.

- Inspect facilities' structures and equipment to determine the need for repairs, maintenance, or renovations.

- Timely, calmly, and methodically repair critical equipment with minimal downtime.

- Maintain various mission-critical grow equipment including commercial water chillers, reverse osmosis water systems, commercial water pumps, overhead warehouse lighting, PVC plumbing, copper water line plumbing, natural gas plumbing, and electrical distribution.

- Maintain all Verdes Cannabis facilities to meet brand standards, including but not limited to light landscaping, fence repair, bathroom maintenance, etc.

- Move equipment between locations as necessary

- Other Duties as assigned

Qualifications and Educational Requirements:

- At least five years of experience as a facilities tech, maintenance tech,orrelated

Relevant professional training is desired.

Physical Requirements:

- Must be able to stand for long periods, 8 – 10 hours multiple days in a row.

- Must be able to lift at least 80 lbs.

- Must be able to occasionally lift about 150 lbs. with a team lift.

- Ability to work in a confined area.

- Ability to work at heights like rooftops, lofts, scaffolds, ladders, and elevated platforms

- Must be able to bend/stoop/climb/reach.

- Must be able to present complex information to groups of people.

- Must be able to be physically present at all Verdes' facilities.

- Ability to handle high-stress situations, ambiguity and changing priorities.

- Must be able to tolerate a reasonable amount of work stress

- Work in varying environmental conditions at times; hot, cold, and humidity.

- Work with dirty and laborious activities at times.

AdditionalRequirements:

- Well-versed in the various heat pump/compressor technologies.

- Well-versed in residential, commercial, and industrial electrical distribution

- Must be proficient in safely using ladders and accessing high rooftops to work on roofs and high-mounted equipment.

- Welding/metal fabrication — can cut, weld, and fabricate metal stock into various simple projects like equipment stands.

- Purchasing — must routinely purchase parts and equipment and needs to know what vendors to cost-effectively purchase from.

- Excellent verbal and written communication skills. The facility and equipment are life support for the plants and processes that demand communication to not disrupt the growing environments and working environments.

- Excellent organizational skills must routinely maintain several different types of equipment.

- Good analytical and critical thinking person shall analyze a lot of different information to methodically plan and execute repairs and installations.

- Attention to detail must ensure all efficiencies, upkeep, and safety standards are discovered and maintained.

Compensation/Hours:

Compensation -DOE; 40+ hours/wk., Required Mon – Fri, some weekends & holidays, 8:00am-8:00pm (exact schedule to be determined with supervisor).
