The Associate Director, Executive Communications is an exciting opportunity to be a key Communications leader with a high level of visibility among the President and CEO, as well as the Otis executive team. As we spin off to be an independent, standalone company, this role provides the opportunity to help shape and promote the Otis narrative and to inspire internal and external stakeholders through our vision of giving people “freedom to connect and thrive in a taller, faster, smarter world.”The Associate Director, Executive Communications, will report to the Director, Internal Communications, Employee Engagement and Change. He/she will serve as the primary point of contact for all communications activities related to the Office of the President & CEO. A natural storyteller, the Director, Executive Communications will: proactively identify key issue platforms; anticipate trends that will impact our business and enable leaders to get in front of them; and evaluate channels and engagements to ensure Otis leaders participate appropriately.Key Accountabilities include:
Build critical trust, accountability and an ongoing rapport with President & CEO and key C-suite leaders
Leverage traditional as well as innovative communications channels to effectively provide the right content, at the right time, to the right audiences
Research and recommend opportunities and platforms to establish Otis leaders as subject matter experts and industry thought leaders
Co-create executive platforms for the President & CEO and key C-suite leaders, that are personally relevant and authentic, and strategically aligned with the organization’s reputational aspirations
Collaborate with World Headquarters and Regional Communications Leaders, Strategy and Investor Relations teams, and others as needed to prepare President & CEO and other key C-suite leaders to effectively engage in: market/business unit reviews, media interviews, employee engagement events, stakeholder (customer/investor/government) meetings, etc.
Create and ensure messaging alignment of executive level talking points, speeches, presentations/deck, briefing materials, etc.
Establish metric system to ensure engagements deliver against objectives
Consider, coordinate and promote coverage for executive / CEO events
Provide strategic and tactical communications counsel to senior leaders
Offer new and innovative ways to deliver executive communications
Serve as an expert on the use of digital tools for executive communications. Stay informed on the latest digital tools available and provide recommendations for tools that would benefit Otis.
Location : United States, East CoastTHE PERSONThe ideal candidate has a minimum of eight years of executive communications experience with a demonstrated ability to serve as a mature, effective strategic advisor. He/she is an exceptional writer, able to translate complex issues into clear and concise messaging tailored to a specific audience. He/she balances the strategic and tactical nature of the role and is energized by capturing the voice of Otis’ executives to share the company’s vision and communicate progress against its business goals.Other key qualifications include:

Solid understanding of how to help an organization shift its executive communications to more digital ways of communicating as appropriate
Appetite for keeping informed about developments in digital platforms and tools and shares best practices with team
Measurement driven. Has a bias for quantifying outcomes.
Exceptional attention to detail
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor’s degree in communications, journalism or related field
Experience leading executive communications for a global organization
Superior written and verbal communication skills
Record of success and top-tier achievement in prior work and education experiences
Strong communication skills and presence to engage with senior executives
Skilled at influencing others (at different levels of management)
Problem solving and analytical thinking
10 or more years of communications experience
