Overview:
Position available consists of general construction BSW laborer/utility worker duties. TravelÂmay be required but typically within the area/state. This position performs trenching and laborer related duties including drops and assisting the crew leader or foreman with tasks as needed. Work schedules are typically 5 days per week, 8 hours per day. Requires heavy lifting, pulling, placing, and digging, asÂrequired of this position.
Responsibilities:
Shoveling
Repairing and replacing drops
Trenching new areas for drops as needed by customer.
Keeping work areas clean before; during and after job completion.
Operating non-CDL equipment and vehicles as needed
Maintaining truck cleanliness; inside and out
Assisting crew leader/foreman with other tasks as assigned
Qualifications:
Must be minimum of 21 years old to drive company vehicles/operate company equipment
Valid driver license
Must be able to effectively communicate with crew.
Be available to work overtime and emergencies 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
Maintain a positive attitude with team.
Maintain good public relations (interact with the public in a courteous manner)
Must have reliable transportation
Basic ability to use small tools/hand tools
Must have strong physical endurance for hot weather conditions, repetitive bending, stooping, lifting, transferring equipment and materials up to 50 pounds.
Must pass company drug testing
Keep appropriate documentation (time cards, job cost, etc.)
Applicants are required to pass all company drug testing, submit to a background check and adhere to all OSHA, state, city/municipality safety requirements and training provided by company as required.Â
