Job Description

Account Manager-Education Services

The ABM Account Manager will be responsible for the management of an assigned account and the Account Supervisors assigned to each account. Specific responsibilities include work scheduling of all account personnel, establishing work standards, conducting site evaluations, audits, overall inventory/equipment usage, budget control, employee performance appraisals, troubleshooting/problem solving, orientation, training of Account Supervisors and support personnel, customer relations, and special project work as requested. This individual will also ensure that all managed services are being provided in a proper and cost effective manner.

Essential Functions:

Provides client relationship and management of account locations in El Paso, TX

Maintain a complete understanding of the site contract to recommend additional work that may be performed at an additional cost.

Ensure contract specifications are followed and document successes and discrepancies providing action plans where required.

Maintains quality service by enforcing quality and customer service standards; analyzing and resolving quality and customer service problems; identifying trends; recommending improvements.

Establish and maintain effective lines of communications with the client and facility personnel to ascertain that their needs and requirements are being met per the contract.

Control expenses within area of responsibility.

Evaluate and justify supplies, equipment, and purchases as needed.

Maintains staff by recruiting, selecting and training employee.

Providing discipline/termination recommendations to HR as necessary.

Maintaining a safe, secure, and legal work environment.

Providing subordinate personnel with growth and professional development opportunities.

Provide guidance/mentoring to Account Supervisors on matters related to performance management, staffing/recruitment, training, HR compliance.

Establish and ensure compliance with work standards and flow of work to maximize results.

Ensure compliance with regulatory agencies working with the HR and Safety Department Management.

Requirements:

Financial performance of assigned location (P & L experience required)

Customer satisfaction at assigned location

Oversee inspections, quality control measures, inventory control and staffing at assigned location

High school diploma required and B/A or B/S preferred

Three to Five years (3-5) as an experienced Janitorial /Service Manager with an extensive background managing all aspects of janitorial operations with high customer/client contact

Bachelor of Science in Business, or other area of expertise combined with relevant work experience

Must be able to travel to related sites and attend business meetings related to the account.

Minimum Requirements:

High School diploma required BS/ BA/ Associates degree is preferred.

Minimum of three (3) years of supervisory experience in a service/customer oriented environment.

Experience in cost estimating/pricing work.

Have a working knowledge of OSHA safety regulations and chemical handling/storage procedures.

Must be able to write reports and business correspondence and effectively present information and respond to questions from managers and customers.
