Boeing Defense, Space, and Security (BDS), Space and Launch Division, is seeking Top Secret Cleared Associate Systems Engineers (Level 2) to support our team. The Space and Launch Systems Team creates the next generation products and services for the BDS business unit. We work with both commercial and proprietary customers in the development of the next-generation technologies in space. Our team focuses on rapid prototyping to demonstrate a host of mission-focused technologies for a variety of customers. Our group works all facets of engineering from technology investment, concept development, proposal writing, requirements and design, build, integration, test, and demonstration of products in their relevant environments.
Position Overview:
The Associate Systems Engineer will be a part of a high-performing team that are immersed in high intensity projects. As a member of our team, you will design, develop, and deliver state-of-the-art communication/payload systems for space-based applications for commercial, civil and/or national security programs. You will work with a highly-motivated team that works with domestic or international customers on their latest satellite systems. You will be a part of a systems engineering team that works with a large cross-functional group including customers, suppliers, hardware and software engineers, integration and test engineers, and senior technologists to ensure that the final products meet the mission objectives. You will perform system analyses and simulations for space communications/payload systems, optimize the system design by performing trade studies, flow down and verify subsystem and unit requirements, develop ConOps, support integration and testing, and/or validate interfaces. Project assignments typically span the complete program life cycle, from internal trades, concept studies and system definition, to satellite development, launch, and on-orbit operations and test.
