Arroyo Veterinary Clinic is currently looking for a Full Time Veterinary Assistant to work in a fast paced, team centered 3 Vet Clinic.
A successful Candidate:
Must be comfortable in the handling of dogs and cats during exams and procedures
Will be responsible for preparing exam room for appointments, to include cleaning and stocking.
Will be responsible for rooming patients, taking history, documenting reason for visit, weighing, taking temperature, of pet to assist doctor with examination.
Will be comfortable with communicating doctor instructions for care and prevention to customer.
Qualifications:
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Professional and courteous
Dependable and ready to learn attitude is a necessity
Veterinary medical knowledge is a plus
Adaptable, able to work well under pressure with multiple competing priorities.
Willingness to learn
Attention to detail
Adherence to procedures and protocols
Works well in team environment
Self-starter and able to work with minimal supervision
Minimum High school degree
Prior client service experience in related area preferred
