Production Supervisor is responsible for ensuring the efficiency of production, completion of assigned
tasks, workforce oversight, and that company policies and safety standards are being implemented and
enforced. Establish written standard operating procedures for various job tasks. Assist Tank Farm
Supervisor and Production Line Supervisor as needed.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND PRIMARY DUTIES
Enforce Safety and Sanitation regulations in and around the plant and grounds.
Confer with other supervisors to coordinate operations and activities within or between departments.
Inspect materials, products, or equipment to detect defects or malfunctions.
Observe work and other indicators to ensure that operators conform to production or processing standards, in
order to recognize preventative maintenance.
Recommend measures to motivate employees and to improve production methods, equipment performance,
product quality, or efficiency.
Identify the educational needs of others.
Conduct and assist in training regarding equipment operations or work and safety procedures.
Assist in planning and establishing work schedules, assignments, and production sequences to meet production
goals.
Develop written procedures to assure proper and consistent job performance of the workforce. Assist with the
documentation necessary to ensure job performance in areas of responsibility.
Perform routine maintenance of all scales and magnets by inspecting, testing, and calibrating.
SUPPLEMENTAL FUNCTIONS AND DUTIES
Assist in plan and development of new production processes in a fast paced food environment.
Calculate labor and equipment requirements and production specifications, using standard formulas.
