We are currently seeking Transmission and Distribution Linemen with EL-1J license! You will strive to provide safe electrical systems for a variety of customers.
Summary: Perform electrical construction, electrical control, or testing work. Possess required licensing, certificates, experience, and training. Meet physical, mental and trade requirements. Supervise and train assigned apprentice. Work Safely.
Strategic Work:
Evaluate, recommend, develop and implement improved construction or service systems, policies, methods and procedures.
Evaluate the performance and results of their apprentices and helpers.
Train and coach their apprentices and helpers.
Provide input and assistance to other members of Outside Operations.
Continually improve their personal technical, supervisory, personnel, and customer relations skills. Attend mentoring and other development meetings as requested.
Tactical Work:
Install, maintain, replace, repair, or service electrical equipment, products, systems, and installations.
Diagnose and test electrical systems to identify and/or correct actual or potential malfunctions.
Be able to use required tools and equipment efficiently and safely.
Perform required Operations Department administrative requirements.
Correctly reads and understands electrical drawings, specifications, and literature so as to perform efficient and correct installation, maintenance, or repair.
Insure that pre-task planning is consistently utilized; incidental material and equipment ordered correctly and timely, and subordinates well prepared to work efficiently.
Supervise work of apprentices and other personnel under their direction.
Survey job and task areas to identify apparent and potential safety hazards and take action to correct or avoid them.
Be able to work non-standard hours or in remote locations if required.
