The Electronic Clinical Quality Measure (eCQM) Standards and electronic clinical quality improvement (eCQI) Resource Center needs a Senior Technical Subject Matter Expert (SME) to manage eCQM Standards and Harmonization. The ideal candidate will have extensive knowledge of and experience with eCQMs in the federal health space, Health Level 7 (HL7), and Health IT (Information Technology). Specifically, recent experience with the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS), the Office of the National Coordinator (ONC) and the National Library of Medicine’s (NLM) Value Set Authority Center (VSAC). The Sr Technical SME will be responsible for managing the eCQM Annual Update Process, HL7 Balloting efforts, Stakeholder meetings where key decisions are made for the evolution of eCQMs for quality measurement and reporting and providing education on eCQMs to the quality reporting community. The content which will need to be managed includes but is not limited to Clinical Quality Language (CQL), Healthcare Quality Measure Format (HQMF), Quality Improvement (QI) Core, Data Exchange for Quality Measurement (DEQM) and Fast Healthcare Interoperable Resources (FHIR).What you’ll be doing (Responsibilities/Day To Day) : Working in and with Agile teams to support the refinement, development and publication of eCQM standards

Facilitating and communicating regular status updates to the client and related contractors

Supporting education and outreach initiatives as needed

Basic Requirements:BA in Health IT or related field

10+ years in Health IT standards or quality measurement

Advanced knowledge of eCQMs and the eCQM Lifecycle

Experience working with HL7 Balloting, Connectathons and Working Groups

Able to understand and interpret federal registers

Exceptional communication and organizational skills

Scrum experience

Preferred Requirements:MS or doctorate degree in Health IT or related field

Experience working with CMS

Experience with emerging standards, such as FHIR

Technologies/tools you’ll use: Microsoft Office, Jira, Confluence, Github, Zulip, various Open Source tools

This role can be 100% remote, sitting anywhere within the US.

Pay Range - There are multiple factors that are considered in determining final salary for a position, including, but not limited to, relevant work experience, skills, certifications and competencies that align to the specified role, geographic location, education and certifications as well as contract provisions regarding labor categories that are specific to the position. The salary range for Colorado is - $118,089.00-$200,751.00Nationwide Remote Office (US99)
