Job Description:
Prep cook for a small-scaled to-go/catering business focused on creating healthy, gluten-free and vegan items. Will be in charge of food inventory, shopping, prep, and cleanup for 13-15 menu items which rotate seasonally. Hours will need to be flexible, but will typically be around 15 hours per week.
Job Duties Include (but are not limited to):
Clean food preparation areas as determined by law/company policy
Prepare/cook menu items that are seasoned, portioned, arranged, and garnished based on company recipes
Accommodate guests with allergies or specific dietary concerns
Food inventory
Estimate expected food consumption, organize preparation ingredients, and order supplies as needed
Keep records and accounts of food purchases
Operate various kitchen appliance such as a blender, oven, and stand mixer
Skills and Qualifications:
Basic organizational skills and clear verbal communication
At least 5 years prior experience in food prep or other related field
