Mountain Spirit Integrative Medicine (MSIM) is seeking a primary care family nurse practitioner (FNP) to join our integrated practice of holistic healers and Doctors of Oriental Medicine with experience in Primary Care, Functional Medicine and Bio-identical Hormone Replacement Therapy. Our primary care practice opened in May, 2017 in collaboration with the FNP faculty of the University of New Mexico, College of Nursing and the Project ECHO primary care telemedicine team. Our clinic is located in Santa Fe, New Mexico and our patients represent the full diversity of our local Santa Fe community.

Our Family Nurse Practitioner will:

Provide quality primary care to age 13 and older (possible to see younger patients if there is interest) through the exploration of individualized plans for personal health, resilience and wellness.

Assist patients in the management of chronic diseases through an integrative approach using nutritional, life style and pharmacologic approaches in collaboration with complementary and traditional medicine approaches.

Support staff, patient and family decision making by providing educational tools and coaching.

The successful candidate:

Is dedicated to collaborating with patients to support the resolution of symptoms, the management of chronic medical conditions, and the prevention of health issues through an integrated approach to wellness.

Enjoys working with and serving the full diversity of the Santa Fe community.

Has a current patient base that would like to continue seeing them as Mountain Spirit for care.

Embodies empathy for patients struggling with imbalances in life, including substance use or abuse, eating disorders, etc.

Is eager to work collectively with a team of natural medicine practitioners (Doctors of Oriental Medicine, Doctors of Naprapathy, and other Physical Medicine professionals).

Professional Requirements:

Current NM nursing/FNP License

National Certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner

Current DEA and NM controlled substance pharmacy license

Experience with all age groups

Experience with Functional Medicine

Experience with Bio-identical Hormone Replacement Therapy

Recent graduates also encouraged to apply/support provided through Project ECHO Primary Care telemedicine team.

The following characteristics are preferred but not required:

Bilingual Spanish

Knowledge and/or interest in traditional herbal/vitamin and integrative therapies for common health conditions

Ability to consider a flexible schedule based on patient needs

Pay Scale:

Competitive pay, commensurate with experience.

2 weeks PTO annually, for each of the first two years employment

3 weeks PTO annually at beginning of 3 rd year

4 weeks PTO annually at beginning of 4 th year
