Mountain Spirit Integrative Medicine seeks an experienced Medical Billing Specialist with proven competency and success. Duties include:
*Answering and handling general patient calls, including New Patient calls and scheduling Patient's appointments
*Answering billing calls and questions
*Verifying Patient's Insurance Benefits and calling to inform them
*Calling Insurance to obtain Prior Authorizations
*Calling Insurances to follow up on unpaid claims
*Have knowledge of CPT and ICD 10 Codes
*Patient balance billing and review of accounts for possible collections
*Billing Reports for Accounts Receivable and quality control
*Review of non-paid EOB's for errors and submitting corrected claims
*Appeal insurances both written and via insurance websites
*Entering of charges and payments
*Entering Patient copays and deductibles
*Maintenance of Patient Accounts for accuracy and current information
*Other assignments that may arise related to these work duties
Schedule: Full-Time 40 hours per week schedule

*Openness to a flexible work schedule is essential; particularly the ability to cover for others to fill for both pre-scheduled Vacation leave and potentially sudden PTO (Personal Time Off) leave (including on weekends), or to shift permanent work days to a different schedule of days, including regular weekend days if needed and agreed upon.
*Demonstrate reasonable longevity in past work experience
*Experience with Mac computers and knowledge of web-based medical practice management databases preferred
*Typing speed: 50WPM accurately (may be tested) and experience with 10 key data entry
Candidates with the following skills and abilities are encouraged to apply (preferred but not required):
Bilingual fluency in both English and Spanish
Successful experience working in another medical setting, whether allopathic ("Western") medical setting or another natural medicine clinic
PAY, BENEFITS & LEAVE:
Entry Level:
With up to 3 years experience
$13 - $16 hourly starting full-time, based on experience
Intermediate Level:
With 3- 6 years experience
$15 - $18 hourly starting full-time, based on experience
Advanced Level:
With 6+ years experience
Salary dependent on demonstrated skills and longevity in current employment, based on experience
Incredible benefits package worth up to $5 hourly - worth 10k annually.
Merit-based raises available beginning 6 months after Introductory Period
