Mountain Home Health Care, a fast growing home health and hospice agency in Taos, NM is currently hiring for full time Registered Nurses/Case Managers to service Taos County. The ideal candidates will have a solid background in clinical assessment. With at least one year of experience in home healthcare case management. Additionally, the ideal candidate will possess the following skills and qualifications:
Critical-thinking skills to assess a patient's situation, as well as detect changes in symptoms, health or pain, and will need to know when action is necessary.
A compassionate disposition and the ability to consistently demonstrate a sympathetic attitude to a patient's needs, in various states of pain, trauma and tragedy.
Attention to detail to accurately administer medications, monitor vital signs and subtle changes in a patient's health.
Strong organizational prioritization skills.
The ability to remain calm under pressure.
Strong communication and listening skills as to comfort patients who are scared, in pain or still coming to terms with their death, and the ability to compassionately address concerns, fears, and questions of family members.
Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing. BSN, PHN preferred.
Current (or eligible) New Mexico RN license.
Minimum of one (1) year experience in an acute care setting or equivalent experience
