Santa Fe Animal Hospital is looking for a part-time veterinary technician. Must be a team player with excellent communication and organizational skills, able to multi-task and work independently. Experience in a veterinary clinic is preferred.
Applicant should be proficient in the following:
Performing simple restraint techniques for animals
Patient Check-In and Rooming (patient history, restraint, drawing vaccines)
Keeping exam rooms and treatment areas stocked and clean, doing laundry
Taking responsibility for general appearance of the hospital-inside and out
Experience with the following is a plus:
Laboratory Procedures including preparing and reading fecal and urine samples, and running blood work.
Placing IV catheters
Drawing blood
Running anesthesia
Radiology techniques
Restraint with avian/exotic species
