Tullivers Pet Food Emporium, retailer of high quality, natural pet foods, supplements and supplies, is seeking to fill a permanent 35 - 40 hours per week Sales Associate position, leading to a supervisory position if performance merits it. The schedule will include opening and closing shifts and working a Saturday or Sunday shift. Flexibility with availability is desirable.
The ideal candidate will have a positive and pleasant attitude and must love animals. Courteous and professional customer service skills are essential, as well as being engaging, self-motivated, dependable, and a team player. Animal nutrition knowledge is desired, but the desire to learn is just as important. You must be able to lift, carry, and stock up to 40lb bags of dog food.
This position will be responsible for operating a Point of Sale cash register system, working the sales floor to assist customers with their buying decisions, data entry, stocking shelves, placing orders, receiving shipments, opening and closing the store, and special projects as assigned. Comfort with using a computer (Point of Sale, Excel and Word) is important, as is accuracy, a strong attention to detail, and comfort with numbers.
