D&S Appliance Sales and Service, Inc is seeking to hire a reliable and high-skilled Appliance Repair Technician to perform all repair, installation, and maintenance duties required by customers. Our ideal technician has vast appliance repair experience, follows all industry safety requirements, and ability to stay up to date on the latest technology in the home appliance field. Excellent customer service skills are essential.
Duties and Responsibilities for an Appliance technician:
· Service, repair and install various household appliances, such as refrigerators, ranges, dishwashers, washers, dryers, and other major home appliances.
· Examining customers appliances and identifying the cause of appliance breakdowns.
· Performing maintenance work on the customers’ appliance.
· Repairing or replacing defective or damaged appliance components upon approval from customers.
· Advising customers on how to use appliances correctly.
· Maintaining an accurate record of all items/ parts used to repair, replace, or maintain appliances.
· Billing customers and collecting payment at time of service.
· Stay up-to-date on the latest appliance technology and parts.
Requirements and Qualifications for an Appliance Technician:
· Sufficient and proven experience in and knowledge of appliance repair and installation.
· The ability to use various hand tools.
· The ability to stand and sit for extended periods of time.
· The ability to lift heavy objects.
· Excellent problem-solving skills.
· Effective communication skills.
· Exceptional customer service skills
· Must be able to pass background check and drug test.
· Must have a valid driver license.
