Job description:
The Payroll & Benefits Administrator handles the setup & ongoing management of payroll & benefits for our employees.
Work performed:
-Keeps employee compensation confidential.
-Sets up new employees in our payroll & benefits systems.
-Verifies and accurately reports hours in our payroll system.
-Updates employee records regarding compensation, exemptions, titles & departments.
-Responds to questions & requests from employees related to payroll & benefits.
-Prepares weekly general ledger report for upload into our accounting system.
-Tracks & updates salaries based on our established pay grades for each position.
-Works with managers to ensure accurate timekeeping & schedules.
-Processes insurance & 401k enrollments & terminations as well as 401k loans.
-Reconciles employee deductions with elected coverage.
-Communicates required benefit disclosures to participants.
-Tracks & enrolls participants in life insurance based on eligibility date.
-Other tasks as assigned by management.
Requirements:
-3+ years experience in payroll processing and benefits administration.
-Ability to maintain confidentiality.
-Strong analytical skills, ability to cross check and troubleshoot discrepancies.
-Excellent attention to detail.
-Strong communication skills.
Compensation:
$22/hr + depending on experience
