Capital Region's oldest and most prestigious IT firm is seeking a motivated independent individual to assist in day to day operational client support and basic network administration.
Candidate Must Have:
Experience in installation, support and troubleshooting of all windows desktop platforms, particularly Windows 7 and Windows 10.
An understanding of cloud based technologies.
A basic comprehension of network foundation and infrastructure.
Preferred Experience:
Structured cabling / rack management / data center design
Basic competency in use of Microsoft Active Directory and Windows Servers
Understanding of DHCP and DNS
Firewall administration and configuration
Data redundancy technologies
Use of support tools and administrative portals
WIFI technical understanding including administration and configuration
Apple IOS setup and management
Furthermore, candidate must:
Have working transportation
Working laptop
Be well dressed
Be able to lift heavy objects such as servers and other network gear
Be self sufficient, able to function independently and manage their own time
Be a critical thinker and problem solver
Have excellent communication skills dealing with people
Able to deal with stressful situations
Willingness and ability to learn an array of new skills and methodologies
Must be organized and detail oriented
Able to follow directions and adhere to policies and ethics
Have a good sense of humor and enjoy what they do
Position is part time to full time, semi flexible.
