Scope: The primary function of the Short Term Construction Site Superintendent is to assist the project team with some of the administrative job site functions associated with a particular construction project on a short term basis.
Reporting Relationship: Reports to the Project Manager and assigned project team members
Essential Duties
Schedule, coordinate, and manage daily construction activities for project.
o Ensure that projects are built to requirements and specifications established by construction drawings and building codes
o Monitor production schedules, critical paths for projects, and trade contractor schedules to ensure timely project completion
o Monitor project quality and cost control
implement checklists for inspections, quality control, and standard operating procedures
Inspect project site daily
o Assume overall responsibility for maintaining a clean and safe project site
o Assist with scheduling municipal inspections
o Complete daily Field Report per project, hand in monthly construction log to office
o Keep Project Team informed of project progress
Communicate with customers on jobsites; answer their questions and ensure that constructions meets their expectations
Order materials and supplies and schedule deliveries
o Notify trade contractors and material suppliers in advance to assure materials are delivered and trade contractors arrive on schedule
o Receive, inspect, and verify all deliveries
o Hand in all paperwork weekly to management to review
Consult with architect, engineer, builder, selections coordinator, trade contractors on plan revisions and change orders. Forward all extra work authorizations to Project Manager daily
Develop and maintain strong, productive supplier and trade contractor relationships
o Conduct work inspections to ensure that those standards are met
o Ensure safety program to all site personnel.
o Notify Safety Director with any near misses or incidents immediately.

Technical Skills
Assist with job site set up
Assist the project team with the initial set up and scheduling of subcontractors and work
Assist the project team with managing progress photo documentation
Assist with updating the Material Procurement Log and assist with expediting the procurement of all materials / equipment
Attend project meetings and assist in the preparation / distribution of meeting minutes
Assist in the organization of all closeout binders
Assist the project team with meeting minutes as needed
Management Skills
Assist the Project Manager with the maintenance of schedules
Assist in the procurement of all front-end paperwork
Assist in the Material Procurement process. Follow up with Subcontractors and Material Suppliers to coordinate and ensure timely material deliveries to the site

Qualifications
Effective oral and written communication skills. Understanding of the construction administration and site processes, safety requirements including construction documents, schedules, RFIs, submittals and materials function
