D&W is currently seeking an individual experienced in on-vehicle & diagnostics. The person that we hire will have proven mechanical skills and a strong aptitude for trouble shooting todays complex diesel engine management systems.
Job Responsibilities:
Perform work as outlined on repair orders with efficiency and accuracy, in accordance with stated standards
Ability to perform repairs on diesel engines, fuel systems and vehicle drive line components, such as turbo replacement, injector replacement & electrical systems
Proficient in the use of diesel engine scan tools and computer diagnostic programs for light duty, medium & class 8 trucks as well as construction and power unit applications
Use of diagnostic repair manuals, diagrams and schematics used to diagnose electronically controlled fuel systems
Ability to utilize electronic testing equipment such as multi meters, volt amp testers and load testers
Proficient in the use of cutting equipment, shop equipment such as hydraulic presses, pullers, dial indicators, micrometers, reamers and shop power tools
PTO & Hydraulic installation and troubleshooting
Road-test vehicles to ensure of quality repair when needed
Communicate parts requirements before job start up
Document work performed on repair order
Job Requirements:
Light duty diesel repair and troubleshooting experience
Medium & Class 8 diesel repair and troubleshooting experience
Bulk tank equipment experience is a plus
Valid drivers license and good driving record CDL is a plus but not required
Proper tools and equipment to perform daily diesel mechanic functions
High school diploma or equivalent, technical or trade school degree preferred
