Safety and Compliance Manager
Create a "Safety Culture" that ensures:
A safe work environment for all employees
A constant awareness of safety issues through training and other means
A continual reduction of property losses
Management and direct responsibility for lowering CSA and SMS scores under 50% of peers in the industry
Protect All Employees Profit Share Yearly via reduction in property losses through incidents and accidents
Specific Responsibilities:
1. Develop written safety programs for DAIM Inc and DAIM Logistics trucking and warehousing operations
2. Process and collect data for all incidents and accidents including accident reports, police reports, administering drug test, etc.
3. Prepare and oversee all OSHA, FMCSA/DOT, safety audits and other regulatory agencies
4. Develop and implement a continuing Culture of Safety for all employees
5. Investigate all accidents and work to recover or minimize damage costs
6. Administer and maintain all drug testing including Quarterly random requirements
7. Ensure thorough electronic logs, dashboard cameras and other means that all truck drivers are acting in a professional, safe and legal manner
8. Ensure that DAIM is at all times in compliance with all relevant government safety regulations.
9. Monitor all websites including but not limited to DEC, DOT, OSHA, FDA, USDA, and NYS Agriculture and Markets and continually connecting with industry peers and compliance email alerts.
Daily/Weekly/Monthly/Yearly Expectation of Duties:
Daily:
-6 am violation checks on electronic log systems with 3 prong risk protection
-starts and stops when in office
-work with drivers on issues
-driver risk assessment
Weekly:
-safety brief
-orientation and driver tests as needed
-populate data for driver infractions accidents etc
-fleetmatics RODs backup
Monthly:
-accident reports updated
-driver infraction disseminated
As needed:
-counseling coachings
-background checks
-issues with logs providers etc
Identify areas of improvement:
-develop a plan discuss plan
-execute plan
-evaluate the results
Pay/Benefits:
Salary $50,000 yearly with $5,000 bonus opportunity
