Job Summary:
A small USDA copacker and meat processing business in the Village of Greene is in need of an administrative assistant to work directly with management and owners. We are looking for a right-hand person to help manage important aspects of the business.
Responsibilities & duties:
-Answer incoming calls,
-Making outgoing calls,
-Purchasing research,
-Basic research,
-Performs data entry,
-Prepares packing slips,
-Prepares payroll,
-Opening of mail,
-Ordering of Office Supplies,
-Maintaining calendar,
-Daily errands as needed,
-Document research and prep,
-Assist management in report prep and creation,
-Assist in HR and DOT file management,
-Manage social media accounts,
-Manage documentation organizing and scanning, and
-Additional duties as needed.
Qualifications & Skills:
-High school graduate or equivalent with two years of verifiable experience in a business office setting.
-General knowledge of office procedures and equipment.
-Ability to handle routine administrative details independently.
-The ability to research something when given minimal instructions.
-Ability to use a computer efficiently, i.e. MS Office.
-Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills.
-Basic payroll and accounting experience a plus.
-Experience working with QuickBooks a plus.
Requirements:
-Must be able to pass an initial drug and background test.
-Must have verifiable references.
-MUST be trustworthy. You will be involved in the daily task of important business and employee discussions and information. We want someone who we can trust in this position.
-Must like kids and dogs (Yes it is random but you'll understand why if you are interviewed).
Basic Information:
-Schedule will be: Monday thru Friday between 7:30 am and 4 pm.
-You will be subjected to a 90-day probationary period.
-Health insurance benefits are available to purchase after your 90-day probationary period. We are also working on getting additional benefits for the future.
-Hourly rate will be evaluated after 90-day probationary period is completed.
