Engineering Manufacturing Technologies ("EMT") is a metal component manufacturer located near Binghamton, NY. Our manufacturing facility is over 130,000 sq. ft. and we employ over 100 personnel. EMT has been in business for over 70 years and our manufacturing processes include Punch Press Stampings, Sheet Metal Fabrications, and CNC Machining & Turned parts. EMT is known as a leader in our industry and our manufacturing facility houses the "most state of the art" equipment. Our continued growth in the automotive, aerospace, commercial/industrial, DOD, firearm, and pharmaceutical industries requires EMT to hire an experienced Human Resource Manager.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

Our Company is in search of an experienced HR Administrator/Manager who will be responsible for applying business knowledge and human resources expertise. He or she will assist in providing a wide range of HR support and guidance. The successful candidate will play a key role in the success of the organization by offering expertise in various interest, such as recruitment, employee training/continuous education, terminations, performance management/reviews, overall employee relations, and implement HR best practices while facilitating a positive relationship between all personnel and senior management.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

Development of an employee-oriented company culture that emphasizes quality, continuous improvement, key employee retention & development, and high standards for performance.

Responsible for the processing of weekly payroll on a timely basis. (Utilizing an Outside Payroll Processor)

Oversee the recruiting, hiring practices, and policies necessary to recruit and hire a superior workforce.

Coach and train managers in their communication, feedback, recognition, and interaction with the employees who report to them.

Responsible for monitoring and managing of companies 401k's program.

Responsible for the monitoring and evaluating options for the annual renewals of Employers Medical, Dental/Vision, Disability, and FSA Benefits.

Conduct investigations when an employee complaint is brought fourth.

Conduct investigations when an employee raises a concern regarding a colleague or supervisor.

Monitor and advise manager/supervisors in the disciplinary actions of the company.

Monitor the implementation of a performance improvement process with non-performing employees.

Review and provide guidance, and approve all management recommendations for employment terminations.

Revise and Update Employee Handbook

Education/Qualifications:

Minimum of a Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Human Resources, Business, or Organization Development.

A minimum of 5-10 years of progressive leadership experience in Human Resource positions.

Automated payroll processing with Time and Labor Reporting experience a plus

Experience with 401k, FSA, Healthcare and On the Job Training Programs a plus.

Specialized training in employment law, compensation, organizational planning, organization development, employee relations, and preventive labor relations, preferred.
