Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Install SMT components from tape & reel, tube, and tray feeders per product build of materials, verifying
correct component manufacturer, value, package type, and polarity orientation.
Install and verify correct SMT programs, tooling, fixtures, and conveyor alignment for each production
build.
Inspect and verify each machine output is compliant with IPC-A-610 requirements
Work well in a team manufacturing environment and display excellent attention to detail to promote
accuracy and quality of work.
Maintain a clean and organized workspace, consistent with 5S practices, and seek to continually improve
Quality and Efficiency of all operations.
Ability to speak, read, write, and interpret documents in the English language.
Ability to work with a microscope and other magnification devices as needed.
Ability to recognize and identify the correct polarity and package type of different standard electronic
components.
Identify errors on procedures, drawings, BOM’s, and other support documents and work with the support
team to get them corrected.
Responsible for obtaining, validating, and maintaining the proper revisions of all drawings, procedures, and
BOMs used daily
Ability to work overtime when needed.
Follow work procedures and instructions accurately and completely to verify equipment set-up and operation
with required procedures and product documentation.
Verify calibration due dates prior to use and notify supervisor of out-of-date calibrations
Understand how to properly reject and or replace damaged or defective parts
Other duties as assigned by supervisor
Key Qualifications
2+ years of experience operating SMT pick and place machines
High school graduate, (prefer AS in technical discipline)
Ability to speak, read, write, and interpret documents in the English language
