Job Summary:

Astral Power is the premier sales, marketing, and servicing company in the community solar industry. Our mission is to provide everyone access to locally produced clean energy at a lower cost than their utility.

We are seeking ambitious self-starters who are passionate about clean energy and motivated by money. This is a commission only role with high income potential and rapid growth opportunity. We currently serve all of New York with expansion plans forthcoming.

Responsibilities of the Business Development Specialist

Professionally represent Astral Power and drive awareness of our Community Solar offerings

Generate leads through local grassroots marketing and sell subscriptions to local solar farms

Networking “ personal, professional groups, community groups, religious orgs

Tabling at local events, fairs, and festivals

Partnering with local civic organizations, green clubs, EV enthusiasts, etc.

Proactively sourcing referrals from existing customers

Follow-up and follow-through with customer leads and inquiries

Understand customers electricity usage and enroll them in an appropriate subscription plan

Close sales!

Skills of the Business Development Specialist

Passionate self-starter who are both mission and commission motivated

Excellent oral and written communication skills

Access to reliable transportation in order to travel to local events

Technologically savvy

Able to work both in a semi-autonomous and team setting

Capable of working well under pressure and meeting or exceeding sales goals

Flexible work schedule - must be available weekends and evenings

Qualifications of the Business Development Specialist

Previous sales experience. Preferably in a commission-only sales environment where you are rewarded for individual efforts

Proficient in basic programs and apps

High school diploma or equivalent at a minimum. College experience preferred.
