A health services network in New York City is actively seeking a new, licensed Radiologic Technologist - Level II for a promising opportunity with their team in Brooklyn.
Responsibilities:
The Radiologic Technologist - Level II will:
Perform high-quality images
Work with the Physicians and Physician Assistants (PA) during IV contrast administration
Perform daily QA/QC imaging
Operate a C-arm during O.R. procedures
Instruct students in routine general x-ray exams
Show radiation protection knowledge, including proper technical factors, collimation, and shielding
Maintain room inventory and equipment checklist at the beginning of the shift and before patients enter the exam room
Assure that all documentation is completed before the examination regarding informed consent, the universal protocol/time-out checklist, lab results, and pregnancy test
Perform other duties, as needed
Qualifications:
1+ year of experience as a Radiographer
Bachelor's Degree
Valid NYS Radiological Technologist license
Complete independent competency in General Radiology
Clear understanding of radiology protocols.
Solid assessment, clinical, and documentation skills
Patient oriented
Great interpersonal skills
Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
