We are looking for a Business Analyst with the following skills for a long term contract position in Brooklyn, NY. Preferred candidates local to NY/NJ area. Onsite form day one onwards.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage the enhancement, implementation, and execution of the requirements management process and plan, including elicitation, analysis and verification.
Interact with stakeholders to oversee the management of functional and non-functional requirements using Use Cases.
Provide key support to build / enhance the systems engineering infrastructure, including the establishment of plans, processes, and procedures; manage requirements changes and interface with the requirements tool.
Oversee the development and reporting of requirements metrics with formats and delivery options; oversee the impact of change requests.
Help manage the requirements approval process and board.
Provide key inputs in the development and finalization of test plans, cases, and scripts, along with the testing processes over various stages of testing.
Provide analysis of test procedures and results; may oversee the allocation of requirements for development iterations and code builds.
Provide technical direction to requirements and business analyst team.
Maintain close working relations with engineering teams throughout the System Engineering lifecycle and for various project teams.
Manage the schedule for requirements activities across projects and synchronized with the master schedule.
Manage requirements-related risks, issues, and actions for technical and schedule performance.
Prepare senior level technical reports for executive management
Mandatory Qualifications:
At least 4 years of experience as a Business Analyst- Required
Desired Qualifications:
Knowledge of the workings of police, fire, EMS and health and human services organizations-Highly desired
Excellent communication and clear business writing skills as well as interpersonal skills; Highly desired
Knowledge of public safety environments and/or experience working with NYC government; Highly desired
Experience using an automated requirements management tool (preferably Contour); IIBA certification (s); Highly desired
Proven experience in defining requirements for solutions with multiple stakeholders; Highly desired
Experience writing test cases/perform functional and acceptance testing.
