Description

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Complies with Network and Urban One's mandatory training and adheres to related course deadlines

Assist with collections for outstanding aging balances

Cash application for remote deposits of payments received

Handle month-end revenue close process, revenue-related journal entries and account reconciliations, ensuring appropriate revenue recognition and accurate results delivered in accordance with Corporate deadlines

Calculate billing data by campaign on a monthly basis for each revenue stream

Calculate monthly Revenue Share allocations to Urban One divisions and other affiliate partners

Manage monthly invoice distribution for each revenue stream

Other responsibilities including but not limited to participation in special projects or adhoc analyses as assigned

Oversee SOP-98 (capitalization of internal website development costs) process working closely to with the Product and Tech teams to ensure correct designation of projects to capitalize off of, accurate recording of time worked on projects and timely and accurate recording of month-end journal entries.

Quarterly music license fees calculation and reporting

CRITICAL COMPETENCIES FOR SUCCESS:

Solid understanding of basic accounting principals

Strong quantitative and reconciliation skills, be comfortable with extremely large data volume with excellent attention to detail

Team player with strong analytic, quantitative, problem-solving and communication skills

Able to work under time pressure, able to prioritize workload and meet strict deadlines

Positive attitude and ability to work with various departments and levels in the organization

EDUCATION/QUALIFICATIONS:

2-3 years accounting experience in digital advertising or online media industries

Bachelor's degree in Accounting

Familiarity with QuickBase preferred

Advanced Excel skills a must, QuickBooks and Lawson experience preferred
