We are currently hiring for:
The Baggage Technician is responsible for Clearing bag jams and responding
to trouble calls in the Baggage Handling System. Maintaining cleanliness of system,
providing cleaning including but not limited to sweeping, housekeeping, collecting trash,
cleaning dust and debris and general housekeeping of area around system. The Baggage
Technician monitors the BHS system status from Control room, determine/coordinate
configuration changes to bypass off-service conveyor. Report and track service calls.
Generate and distribute work orders through Maximo. Responsible for weekly and
monthly reports as directed. Must be able to bend, stoop, crawl in tight places. Push, pull,
lift and carry at least 50lbs. Housekeeping and safe work practices a must. Proficiency in
Microsoft office (Excel) is required.
Electrical Mechanics
The Electrical Mechanics are the main responders to emergency situations. They carry
out preventive and corrective maintenance at the electrical and mechanical level of
the material handling system. This will be done during the dwell periods in between
the flights and in the other non-operational hours. Essential Functions are to maintain
superior customer service and safe working practice at ALL times. Troubleshoots, repairs,
and maintains machinery and electrical equipment such as motors, electrical circuits, SICK
ATR systems, baggage handling equipment and conveyor systems in accordance with
diagrams, electrical drawings, operational manuals and manufacturers specifications
using hand tools and precision measuring and testing instruments. Inspect diagnose
and repair mechanical and electrical systems. Communicate with various parties on the
work performed and present status of specialty systems. Analyze root causes of Electrical
failures and propose remedy and resolution as well as continuous monitoring for ways
to improve and optimize the system. Interpret schematics and engineering drawings in
reference to layout, location, and operation of the system(s). React to call outs from the
Control Room Operator or manager executing service calls CM, PM and EM. Preventive
Maintenance Inspection, adjustment, cleaning, replacement and prepare follow-up CM
work orders if needed. Attending to stoppages and bag jams as needed. Completion of
daily housekeeping duties individually and as a team.
