Independent Contractor looking to sell route. This a DSD Grocery Vendor type of contract with a territory from Vestal NY to Mansfield PA to Geneseo NY to Auburn NY. The total sales from this route in 2018 was $507,000. At a 19% commission rate would equate to $96,330 in revenue. I currently run the route in approximately 45 hours of work over 4 days. I currently take the weekend off and also Thursdays.
This is running a small business. Your expenses will include but not limited to:
1) Warehouse (storage unit that a tractor trailer can deliver to)
2) Truck payment (I currently use a 2015 Ford Transit, no special license required)
3) Insurance (vehicle and business insurance)
4) Fuel
5) Misc. expenses
6) My weekly fee for buying the route
