The Health Information Management (HIM) Specialist will assist in all clerical functions in the department, under the direction of the Lead HIM Specialist. The HIM Specialist is responsible for prepping, scanning, quality control, analysis and validation of the electronic medical record. The HIM specialist will also help with any special projects such as the annual purge, external reviews and covering for vacancies.Education/Experience:High school diploma or GED

At least 2 -3 years of healthcare office experience

Medical Secretary education a plus

One year of office experience. Medical records experience preferred.

Medical Terminology preferred.

Experience with computers including Windows and Microsoft Office.

Excellent Customer Service experience
