Lawrence & Cooper Inc is looking to fill a facilities manager position at a historic building with professional studios in Glens Falls, NY. The Facilities Manager oversees, coordinates and schedules all general studio and facilities maintenance with all maintenance associates, and outside vendors (as needed).
The ideal candidate will be engaging and energetic. Candidates need customer service experience as well as property management and/or construction experience.
Pay is based on experience and qualifications.
Job Requirements:
Minimum of one year of supervisory experience
Strong customer service skills
Be able to identify and order parts and tools needed to perform maintenance duties
Detail oriented and organized
Have the ability to interact effectively with tenants, visitors, peers, and management
Knowledge in carpentry, electrical, HVAC, plumbing, painting, drywall repairs, and masonry.
Must possess a valid drivers license and maintain current insurance
Must maintain an acceptable driving record
High school diploma or GED equivalent
Typical Physical Demands: Requires standing, sitting, bending and reaching. May require lifting over 50 lbs. requires manual dexterity sufficient to operate machines. This position requires normal range of hearing and vision.
Typical Mental Demands: Ability to give and receive instructions, formulate work plans, prepare written materials, and articulate goals and action plans. Must understand people from all walks of life and be able to communicate effectively with them. Must have the ability to separate people from situations and perform constructive discipline when needed.
Anticipated Work Hours: 8 to 9 hours is considered a normal workday. The job may occasionally require variable work hours including, early morning, evening, weekend, or on-call hours.
