Job Title: Full-Time Laundromat Attendant
Location: Poughkeepsie, NY (44 Plaza Shopping Center, 51 Burnett Blvd)
Pay: $18/hour
Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM (40 hours/week)
Start Date: Early December 2025
About Pop In Laundry
Pop In Laundry is Poughkeepsie's newest, cleanest, and most modern laundromat, opening December 2025. We're creating a fresh, welcoming space where doing laundry doesn't feel like a chore. Our brand-new facility features state-of-the-art equipment, bright lighting, comfortable seating, and a focus on customer care.
We're looking for reliable, friendly people to join our team from day one.
What You'll Do
- Welcome customers and provide friendly, helpful service
- Keep the facility spotlessly clean and organized throughout your shift
- Process wash-dry-fold orders with care and attention to detail
- Monitor equipment and report any maintenance needs
- Handle customer questions and resolve minor issues
- Operate our point-of-sale system for transactions
- Maintain inventory of supplies and vending items
- Follow all safety and security procedures
- Help create a welcoming, stress-free environment for customers
What We're Looking For
Required:
- 18 years or older
- Reliable transportation to/from work
- Ability to work holidays when needed
- Comfortable standing and moving for entire shift
- Able to lift up to 40 lbs regularly
- Positive attitude and strong work ethic
- Good communication skills
- Detail-oriented and organized
Preferred (but not required):
- Previous customer service experience
- Experience in laundromat, retail, or hospitality

Schedule Details
- Monday through Friday
- 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM (with 30-minute unpaid lunch break)
- Weekends OFF
- Must be available to work major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas, etc.) - laundromats are open 365 days
