Tammy's Family Daycare is a fun and rewarding experience for those who love working with children. Now hiring, we're looking for a responsible and mature female who is great with kids. We offer a stable job position, holiday and sick time. You will truly experience first hand the growth and development of a child's knowledge and skill level. The following is a list of what we require from a FULL Time assistant.
Someone who can :
-Ensure curriculum and developmentally appropriate practices are in place in the center
-Assist the Teacher in planning and implementing the daily program.
-Help with meal and snack preparation, feeding children and modeling table manners.
-Help maintain a clean, orderly classroom and playroom. This includes equipment.
-Spark imagination, build self-esteem and help children discover new things each day!
-Someone who can have reliable attendance and doesn't need to call out of work often!
-Able to multitask and handle multiple responsibilities at once!
-Able to come into work on time and not be absent frequently.
The following is essential to the job position:
-A flexible schedule of availability
-Must be able to work MORNING hours
-Must be able to work a hours between 8am to 6pm
-Must be available Monday through Friday
-Must be able to commit to the job for at least six months.
-Must be looking for a long term stable job
-Can Feel comfortable committing to Full Time Hours
-Has Reliable Transportation To Get To Work On Time
-Must have a telephone number we can reach you at.
-Does not take off from work every week or every other week.
-Must give advanced notice when calling out sick and willing to coordinate absents with a substitute.
The above is listed because we can't hire anyone full time until they are licensed through New York State. It doesn't matter if the employee has worked at a daycare before, the process starts all over again each time you work at a new daycare. Until the employee goes through the OCFS application process, she can not be left alone with the children and has to be monitored by another employee. If things work out and the employee seems like a good fit, the hours will go up along with a steady salary. We do ask that all of our employees give advanced notice for sick time, this is in the NYS regulations for all daycares in the area. Near perfect attendance is a requirement for this position.

This is for someone who can be a substitute until they are cleared by the Office of Children and Family Services.
