We are a new artisan food hall concept, micro-focused on handheld sweet and savory pasties and pies. All of our pies are made from our own unique recipes, with only high quality ingredients. We are looking for a creative and energetic full-time Production Manager based in Millbrook, NY, with at least 3 years of culinary experience and willing to take on broad responsibilities in developing our unique concept. Starting salary is competitive with significant potential to grow as the company expands.
Responsibilities:
Manage production within an established commissary
Execute existing recipes and develop new concepts and detailed production recipes
Purchase ingredients and monitor production and food costs
Monitor quality and production efficiencies with time & temperature documentation
Deliver frozen pasties and pies to food hall in New York City 1-3 times per week
Oversee baking operations and customer service within a food hall environment
Manage and train staff in food preparation, safe handling, operation of equipment, food safety and sanitation
Preferred Qualifications
Three years of culinary experience
High volume production experience preferred
Previous experience managing cost controls preferred
Entrepreneurial spirit with the desire to learn and grow with a start-up company
Must be willing to apply technology to the workflow process (e.g., Microsoft Office, POS suite, inventory management)
ServSafe certified - highly desirable
