GioBatta Alimentari is an authentic Italian market + cafe. Alimentari, a word meaning “to nourish,” is our inspiration. After a 13-year success with Mercato Osteria Enoteca in Red Hook and two James Beard nominations, Chef Francesco Buitoni opened GioBatta in 2020.
Our heritage stems from the Buitoni family pasta enterprise, whose spectacular growth and reach nurtured a nation with its food and confections. Five generations later, GioBatta carries on the tradition of nurturing an ever-expanding community with handmade pasta and provisions sourced from Hudson Valley farms and artisanal Italian producers.

We’re seeking a Market Manager to join us in bringing this vision to life. The ideal candidate is a dedicated, focused professional who believes in the power of food. Previous experience preferred but not required. The power of momentous curiosity, motivation to learn through action, and transferable skills can match the qualifications of experience. Responsibilities include:
Curating and developing product inventory.
Maximizing sales potential through effective storing, rotating, stocking, and merchandising product.
Maintaining consistent inventory/stock at all times.
Visual product merchandising.
Creating tactics for branded signage to optimize sales.
Streamlining operations and workflows.
