Murrays is currently looking to fill two part-time positions starting in June. Experience working in a kitchen preferred, but willing to train the right candidate. We are a breakfast and lunch cafe with a catering arm, doing in-house weddings and off-site parties. We work mostly with local farmers, using seasonal Hudson Valley produce, meats and dairy, creating an interesting, yet approachable menu for our guests to enjoy. Additionally, we work with different preserving methods to extend seasonal harvests as much as possible. Murrays is located in a converted church in Tivoli, NY, a small town in the middle of the beautiful Hudson Valley.
Line cook
Looking for organized, efficient cook to join our team on a part-time basis. Responsibilities include: prepping and executing seasonal menu, receiving deliveries, setting up/breaking down station. Potential for some baking duties, if interested, as well as working catering events.
Catering cook
Looking for part-time seasonal catering cook to help prep and execute weddings from June-August (potential for employment to be extended into the fall).
Weddings vary from buffet to plated meals, average about 125 people and require a focused, efficient work ethic. Employees shift will vary slightly each week depending on whether or not there is an event, but will always be around 24-30 hrs/week.
