Job Description
Our Construction/Environmental Department seeks a Laborer/ Equipment Operator to join their team
Duties and Responsibilities:
Engage in strenuous physical labor including lifting, pulling, and pushing heavy objects
Operate light and heavy equipment such as: hand tools, hand power tools, pumps, vacuum, oil spill boom, generators, bobcats, backhoes, and other similar equipment
Perform emergency response activities such as: petroleum, chemical spills contamination, tank cleaning, equipment decontamination, etc.
Completion of work related paperwork such as: daily Time and Worksheets, Vehicle Inspections, Equipment Inspections, Health and Safety requirements, and permits
Ability to read, understand and comply to OSHA Safety Regulations and perform all tasks safely
Requirements:
At least 1-year experience in a related field Preferred but not required
Ability to travel to and from job sites
Strong mechanical ability
Position involves strenuous physical exertion
CDL Class A or B License Preferred but not required
Willing to work off-hours
Available on weekends
Willing and Able to be available On Call 24/7
Must pass DOT Hazmat physical, drug and alcohol screening and detailed background check
Complete Confined Space Entry and 40 Hour OSHA Training
