Boarding and training facility located in Northern NJ border with Orange County NY. We are currently seeking a kennel technician for a part-time position. Candidates must live within 25 min from Wantage.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Primary job will be to monitor dogs and ensure dogs are safe and healthy during play time. The kennel is open play, meaning the dogs spend much of the day playing with other dogs.
- Clean the grounds and facilities.
- Feed dogs and provide medications as needed
- Perform grooming services such as baths.
QUALIFIED CANDIDATES:
- Previous experience working with dogs preferred but not required
- Be an energetic person with a great work ethic. This means you are never sitting or standing around, always looking to help out, high energy and constantly moving around. This is NOT a job where you just sit around and play with dogs.
- Will show up on time for all shifts
- Have love and patience for dogs
- Have the ability to be on your feet for 5+ hours at a time.
- Have a positive attitude
- Reliable transportation
- Weekends a must
Shifts available:
1. Friday to Tuesday 8:00am - noon. Days off Wednesday and Thursday.
2. Friday to Tuesday 2:00pm - 6:00pm Days off Wednesday and Thursday.
3. Wednesday and Thursday 8:00 am - 4:00pm
