Personal Injury Solo Practitioner is seeking to hire a litigation paralegal/legal secretary experienced in plaintiffs’ personal injury. Must be able to handle active caseload and have complete understanding of PI process and be able to multi-task and work both independently and with supervision. Must be responsible, efficient, and organized to interview for position. Potential candidates must have excellent written and verbal skills, pay attention to detail, as well as client service skills and be proficient in all Microsoft Office programs and electronic filing through NYSCEF.
The person hired will be counted on to handle a substantial number of tasks, from the first contact with the client through resolution of cases, including, but not limited to:
Client intake
Handling no-fault issues in matters involving motor vehicle accidents
Regular client communication (phone, email, in person, etc.)
Submission of medical record requests and comprehensive analysis of medical records
Calendar management and scheduling (court appearances, depositions, meetings, etc.)
Filing in both state (NYSCEF) and limited federal (PACER/ECF) courts, and service
Preparation of litigation documents, including pleadings, bills of particulars, discovery demands and responses, subpoenas, etc.

Preparation of trial documents
