Christopher Spitzmiller, Inc. is a maker of ceramic lamps and accessories. We are looking for someone with mental grit, curiosity, and hopefully some experience in ceramics. However, we will train the right candidate. The position is for our satellite studio in Millbrook New York. The right candidate will be detail oriented and capable of producing high-quality work in a fast paced environment. A hard-working, professional and positive attitude is essential to succeed in this role. Must be able to consistently lift 50 lbs.
Duties Include:
⢠Forming pottery on a jig arm.
⢠Glazing pottery of various sizes.
⢠Throwing and trimming on the wheel.
⢠Plaster turning bats on the wheel.
⢠Firing and maintaining kilns.
⢠Shipping and receiving.
⢠Keeping the premises clean and presentable.
