The Jewish Federation of Ulster County, a Kingston based non-profit, has a new opening for a part time (2-3 days per week) Social Media/Digital Marketing Coordinator.

Our organization has been serving the Ulster County community for over 40 years. We are looking for a bright, outgoing individual to join our team and help support our efforts. Programs include advocating for civil rights and against bias, promoting education, coordinating with other community organizations and groups to help achieve common goals, serving community needs, producing educational and cultural events, and implementing fundraising efforts.

The Social Media/Digital Marketing Coordinator's (Coordinator) duties include:

- Creating/posting content on Facebook and Instagram.

- Creating/sending email blasts using Mailchimp (initially at least, as we are exploring other tools).

- Creating/posting/updating content on the organization's website.

- Managing/maintaining email lists.

- Engaging and communicating professionally with Board members, Committee members, donors, volunteers, members of other organizations, and members of the general public (when they call, email, or stop by the office).

To successfully perform the above duties will require:

- experience with posting on social media.

- experience with Word Press.

- experience or the ability to quickly learn how to use mailchimp.

- some proficiency with Microsoft Office, specifically Word and Excel.

- some experience with Google Docs.

- an ability to multitask.

- patience.

- the ability to exercise judgment and discretion.

Initially the Coordinator position will be for 2 days per week. Based on abilities and performance, there is a possibility for additional day(s).

Please note:

- during training the Coordinator will work on-site (socially distant at a sanitized desk exclusive to employee). Once training is complete, there is the potential to work remotely at least one day per week.

Candidate Requirements

In addition to possessing the abilities to perform the duties set forth above, candidates:

- Must be able to work at least two (2) days a week6 - 8 hours per day.

- Must have a reliable vehicle

- If want to work remotely, must have a pc or laptop at home.

- Must have eligibility to work in the U.S.
