About the Role

Fisch Solutions, one of the Hudson Valley’s leading Managed Service Providers (MSPs), is seeking a Help Desk Technician (Entry Level) to join our growing team. This position focuses on hardware deployment, network support, and basic Windows Server administration at a fixed client site in Orange County, NY.

You’ll be hands-on with both users and technology—installing, troubleshooting, and maintaining computers, printers, and network systems in a professional environment.

What You’ll Do

Provide on-site and remote support for users on desktop hardware, software, and network issues.

Deploy and configure new computers, peripherals, and printers.

Support and maintain network equipment including SonicWall, Meraki, WatchGuard, and Fortinet firewalls.

Perform basic Windows Server administration including Active Directory user management and Group Policy troubleshooting.

Assist in monitoring and resolving help desk tickets while maintaining documentation.

Communicate clearly and effectively with clients and team members to resolve technical issues.

Maintain and improve system performance, uptime, and end-user satisfaction.

You’re Great At

Desktop support and deployment (Windows and Mac).

Managing Microsoft 365 and Office applications.

Troubleshooting hardware and connectivity issues.

Following through on tickets and seeing problems to completion.

Providing professional, customer-focused support.

Bonus Skills (Highly Recommended)

Experience with firewalls, routers, and managed switches.

Prior experience with SonicWall, Meraki, WatchGuard, Ubiquiti, and Fortinet devices.

Familiarity with Windows Server (Especially Active Directory User Management, Group Policy, & DNS)

Basic understanding of network topologies, Wi-Fi, and VPN technologies.

Requirements

Minimum 1 year of IT support experience (help desk, desktop support, or field technician).

Experience deploying and troubleshooting computers and peripherals.

Working knowledge of networks and basic server environments.

Strong communication and organizational skills.

Valid driver’s license and ability to work onsite daily.
