Spider Holster, manufacturer of camera accessories in Lansing, NY seeking mechanical engineer for product design and R&D.
Spider Holster is a manufacturer of accessories and carrying systems for both the tool and photographic industries based in Lansing, New York with a strong brand name recognition in the photography world. We are seeking a mechanical engineer for research, design, and development of new products.
Job includes development of new products and revisions to existing products for the camera and tool industries. Candidate should be a team player, working closely to bring new ideas to production and to market. Candidate should have a good knowledge of casting and machining processes with metals and plastics. Candidate must have working experience with CAD software - PTC Creo preferred.
Potential for graphic and packaging design work, familiarity with Adobe Creative programs a plus. Knowledge of textiles and design helpful as well.
Position does include travel for related industry trade shows and events.

Requirements:
Mechanical/design engineering degree & experience
Working knowledge of CAD software (Creo preferred)
Familiarity with Microsoft Word & Excel
Good communication skills
Must be able to travel and attend trade shows (<10%)
