Simeons American Bistro currently has unique seasonal availability for individuals seeking to enter the restaurant service industry. The Bus Person/Food Runners essential functions remain with welcoming and serving guests in a warm, accommodating, and professional fashion while assisting the team in station readiness, stocking, settings and serving guests. The level of service these positions provide must be consistent with established restaurant standards.
While serving in the role of bus person- the individual is responsible for tying in to the dining experience with roles in water, bread, and coffee service yet the bus person more specifically assists the front of house service team by resetting/relocating/combining tables; and maintaining, cleaning, and restocking all dining room stations.
While assigned to the kitchen the main focus of the Food Runner position is to manage and organize outgoing plate service while assisting the Chefs with an awareness of where the guests are in their dining experience. The Food Runner maintains multiple supplies in and around the Expo station, Garde Manger, and pastry and bus stations. Glassware, plates and flatware must be polished and distributed to individual stations. In addition wiping cloths, serving utensils and Mis en Place are the responsibility of the Bus Person/Food Runner. These positions will assist in the dining room and kitchen as necessary. The Bus Person/Food Runner is a vital communique between the BOH and FOH. This staff member is also responsible for polishing silverware, glassware, and small wares for the dining room and sorting wares to and from the dish station.
Previous experience is preferred but training is available for dedicated, reliable and professional candidates. This position offers excellent earnings and growth potential for the committed individual.
