Adana Veterinary Clinic is seeking a full-time or part-time NY Licensed Veterinary Technician to work in our beautiful, progressive, small animal veterinary practice. We need a well-organized, upbeat person with good, technical skills as a veterinary technician. Our clinic focuses on exceptional, personalized client service and excellent patient care for cats, dogs, and furry exotics.
We expect that you love client care as well as pet care, that you have skills in client communication and education, with ability to transcribe own and doctors’ medical notes into patients’ SOAP. You will need to be proficient in blood draws, IVC placement, basic laboratory work (UA, fecal float/direct, differentials, basic ear cytology etc.), ability to expose digital X-rays and so forth. Experience in dentistry incl. X-rays is a plus, but not a requirement. We are small clinic with the benefit of close connections with out clients and their pets. All staff are trained to be able to assist with excellent customer service, including invoicing out clients and answering the phone.
We need a person with good communication skills, a cheerful attitude and willing to assist in a positive workflow by being a valuable, hard-working team player.
We expect that you can lift 50-60 lbs by yourself in this position. Ability to understand and use computer software as well as type at a minimum of 45-50 WPM is required. We are a technically progressive practice, we use Impromed for our veterinary software and rooms are equipped with desktop computers.
