Full time, energetic pet and customer loving veterinary assistant for Adana Veterinary Clinic; a progressive, small animal veterinary practice. We currently have a second opening and need a well-organized, upbeat person with experience in a veterinary clinic. Our clinic focuses on exceptional, personalized client service and excellent patient care for cats, dogs, and furry exotics.
We prefer that you have a minimum of 1 year experience in a veterinary setting to apply for this position assisting our doctor and technicians in their daily work. Your job responsibilities will include assisting with exams and patient intake, computer/medical data entry, patient restraint, caring for patients and cat boarders, daily cleaning/maintenance of the facility and the cages, assisting our licensed vet techs and doctors with treatments, procedures and surgery, dispensing medications, running patient lab samples and much more . You need to be able to lift 50 lbs by yourself in this position as well as be prepared to be on your feet many hours per day.
We need a person with good communication skills, a cheerful attitude and being willing to assist in a positive workflow by being a valuable, hard-working team player. We will train you in basic lab work and in utilizing our blood assay machines. Ability to understand and use computer software as well as type at a minimum of 40-50 WPM is required.
