Advion, Inc., with North American headquarters in Ithaca, NY, designs, develops, and manufactures mass spectrometers, chip-based ion sources, and microfluidic flow chemistry systems and consumables for the life sciences and related industries. We are currently seeking an energetic and passionate new team member to expand our marketing and sales activities by staffing the following position in Ithaca:
Marketing Coordinator
The Marketing Coordinator is responsible for managing key marketing initiatives including trade shows and conference attendance, email marketing, social media, content creation, website updates, and contact database management (Salesforce). The role will assist sales and marketing management with communications media to effectively represent the company’s products to customers and to prospects.
Representative Duties:
Coordinates, and executes corporate sponsorship at live and virtual trade-related events, including pre-event promotions, special events, travel arrangements, registrations, abstracts and event advertising. Organizes and ensures shipping and fulfillment for tradeshows, and manages updates to sales databases.
Manages Salesforce CRM database for current sales opportunities, maintenance, and support to sales groups for customer and prospect communication to ensure efficient use.
Writes, develops, and contributes to electronic and print communications with an emphasis on writing for digital communications/email marketing/social media.
Designs literature and images using Adobe Creative Suite programs.
Updates website (Wordpress) as needed.
Reports and monitors marketing initiatives.
Organizes Advion company and product presentations as well as maintaining electronic and hardcopy library of publications accessible by in-house and remote Advion employees.
Assist marketing and sales team with prospecting and sales research.
Additional marketing and public relations efforts as needed and required by the company.
Job Requirements:
Requires a Bachelor’s degree in marketing communications.
Works under general supervision with a degree of creativity and latitude.
Proficient with email marketing, social media development and strategy, graphic design in Adobe, and database management – Salesforce familiarity a plus.
Strong organizational skills with the ability to multi-task and work in a dynamic environment
A self-starter with an entrepreneurial spirit.
