Ithaca Beer Co., is looking to hire a Packaging Operator & Assistant Maintenance Technician. Successful candidates will possess strong mechanical aptitude, leadership qualities, scheduling experience and a do anything attitude in order to fit seamlessly into the needs of a small company. The Packaging Operator & Assistance Maintenance Technician serves as the backup for the primary Packaging Operator and is responsible for scheduling the packaging team based on the needs of brewing, sales, and shipping with an understanding of each in order to optimize labor efficiency. The Packaging Operator & Assistant Maintenance Technician will report to and work directly with the Facilities and Production Manager to maintain and repair all packaging, brewing and facility equipment
Responsibilities
- Operate all equipment in the Packaging Facility in a safe and efficient manner while focusing on Quality
- Follow and adhere to SOPs
- Perform Quality Control checks
- Accurately report on packaging logs and QC paperwork
- Operate a forklift
- Maintain packaging equipment, as well as work on all equipment throughout the companys overall facility based on prioritized work list developed by Facilities & Production Manager
- Inventory Control
- Creation and oversight of packaging team schedule
- Communicate effectively with other packaging employees on scheduling and work efficiency
- Assistance with Shipping and Receiving, as needed
